Trip to Nicaragua

I just got back from visiting Nicaragua, it has been 15 years since my last visit. I stayed with my sister in a small town called Mozonte, very quiet and the people there are friendly and nice.

I tried so many dishes and desserts I don't usually cook here in the States because depending on where you live, the ingredients can vary, and sometimes I have to replace them with something similar.

Some recipes are being forgotten, or altered by the new generations, and that was something that made me sad. I also enjoy seeing the scenery and many fruits and vegetables I have forgotten.

My book has all the original recipes given to me by my mom, grandmother, aunt, and sisters, I'm glad I have them written down because once we're gone future generations can still enjoy all the recipes they remember when growing up, and can also pass it on to let others have A Taste of Nicaragua! 🥰 I leave you with some photos I took from my trip.
